Craig Bergen

Craig Bergen was a recent college graduate when he joined Lee Rosenberg’s firm as a tax preparer in 1998. Today his extensive experience in tax and financial planning makes him an integral part of the American Investment Planners LLC team.

Clients enjoy working with Craig because of his big-picture perspective. He not only develops appropriate financial plans for growth and income, he shows them how to reduce their overall tax burden.

“My primary goal is to take a holistic approach,” Craig said. “I make recommendations on everything from estate planning to education to retirement to insurance as well as taxes. Interestingly, many clients are so focused on their investment return, they forget about their tax return. I show them how they work together, not at cross purposes.”

What Craig also considers is the client’s individual needs. “I have no preconceived ideas when we sit down for the first time,” he said. “I listen and learn about the values they hold dear, what they worry about, what their hopes and dreams are. All of this is taken into consideration when I make my recommendations.”

In addition to being a Registered Representative with Cadaret, Grant & Co., Inc., Craig is a licensed health and life insurance agent. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany.

Craig and his wife Dara are the proud parents of their son Nate and daughter Ella. Aside from the joy of spending time with his family, he plays guitar and is passionate about outdoor activities including hiking, camping, biking and skiing.
